FireWire 800 ExpressCard 34 Quick Install Guide Installation The LaCie FireWire 800 ExpressCard 34 is plug & play and driver-free for Windows and Mac OS. 1. Insert the controller card into an empty ExpressCard 34 or 54 slot. 2. Use FireWire 800 cables to connect your FireWire 800 devices. NOTE: Windows users ­ if your system does not contain the necessary drivers for the controller card, you can install the drivers from the included Drivers & Utilities CD-ROM. Protect your investment ­ register for free technical support: www.lacie.com/register Troubleshooting If you experience problems with your LaCie FireWire 800 ExpressCard 34: 1. Make sure you have installed the driver for the controller card according to the installation procedure, above. 2. If an older version driver is installed previously, uninstall the old driver and install the included driver according to the procedure, above. 3. If a driver for a similar product is installed, uninstall the similar driver and install the included driver according to the procedure, above. 4. If none of the above issues are present, or if the driver has been installed properly and the controller card is still not functioning, the controller card may be defective.
